The American Legion Creed:
For God and Country

transmit to posterity the principles of Justice, Freedom and Democracy;
To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by
our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

Location: Located on Chicago's North Shore in Evanston, Illinois. Home of Northwestern University. The post is kitty corner from Evanston Hospital and Northwestern's Ryan field football stadium and adjacent to the Peter Jans golf course. The historic post established in 1919 has a new handicapped accessible elevator and overlooks the golf course and Chandler athletic center. The post is convenient to the Outer Drive, the Edens Expressway and has two railroad stations from Chicago.
Membership: The post is a member of the 7th district of the American Legion and has approximately 500 members.
Meetings: Regular meetings start at 7:30 pm on the first Thursday of each month. The Board of Directors meets monthly.
